Glimpse Of Heaven

Mirrored mountains stretch across the liquid canvas,

hues of gold, blue, and green on moving glass.

Fingertips brush through the water colored masterpiece,

sending lazy ripples over snow-capped peaks.

A fish jumps, a flash of morning light on silver scales.

On the thicket lined shore, yellow finches sing

and ripe blackberries perfume the warm, sweet air.

“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”

“Be still and know that I am God.”
